The head of music for newyorkfm.digital said that he loved the new single ‘Subtonic Dream’ from ‘Stronie’ with it’s beautiful melodic Jangly Indie Jesus and Mary Chain vibes, that also incorporates a classic Alan Parsons meets ELO esque mood, it’s warm and melodic and very catchy, and so has been placed on the New York playlist to be played in general rotation + as a special new music spotplay every day at approx 11 AM Eastern USA time for a month or more.

Stronie talks about the single saying “Subtonic Dream is all a bit of fun , the song is all about how our Dreams will go where there please, sometimes Beautiful colourful sometimes dark and scary and sometimes jumping from one to the other. I just decided to have a bit of fun with words and set no rules with regards to lyrics and melodies and see where it went. The result, Subtonic Dream . I love ELO and the travelling Wilburys and feel there definitely some of that influence in there. I hope your listeners have as much fun listening as I had writing this! The release date is 3.11.22 and should be available on all digital platforms”.
